Quicklime, known scientifically as calcium oxide (CaO), is one of the most widely used materials in industrial and construction applications. Produced by heating limestone at high temperatures, it plays a critical role in industries ranging from steel manufacturing to water treatment and agriculture.

Quicklime is a white, caustic, alkaline substance obtained by heating limestone (calcium carbonate) in a process called calcination. Main Uses of Quicklime
